Thanks to everyone who helped make Spellabration 2014 a success! This unique event – a party with an adult spelling bee in the middle – took place Friday, Feb. 21 and raised funds to support Community Education’s programs throughout Bowling Green and Warren County. We are truly grateful for the support of our 2014 title sponsors, Hill’s Pet Nutrition and Harned, Bachert & McGehee, PSC, as well as the rest of our sponsors, teams, and the local and regional restaurants, businesses and organizations who donated food for our guests and items for our Spellabration silent auction. Congratulations also are in order for our 2014 US Bank Spellabration Art Contest winners! Children in grades K-8 were invited to draw their favorite scenes from the National Corvette Museum and Lost River Cave. The four winning entries were on display at the Chamber of Commerce from Feb. 24-March 7, 2014, and were then be scanned, printed on note cards and sold at the museum and the cave.

The 2014 winners were:

Jackson Smith, a first grader at McNeill Elementary
Brayden Rider, a third grader at Cumberland Trace Elementary
Emma Kidwell, a sixth grader at Bowling Green Junior High School
Becca Cawthorn, a sixth grader at Plano Elementary
